Starbucks Might Make Juice: Good Or Bad?
Taken from here.
It’s possible that Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz has hired a former employee of Liquiteria (an juice bar in Manhattan with a really unfortunate name) to teach his company how to press and sell juice. Rumor has it that he wants to make some of the shops half coffee shop, half juice bar, apparently catering to health-conscious customers who’d rather get juiced up by fruits and vegetables than pumpkin spice lattes.
Will they make green juice? Will they charge $12 for it like the popular New York juice bar chain Organic Avenue? We haven’t a clue. The apparently anonymous source just said: “He said he wants to start dividing coffee shops within weeks to make one half a pressed juice ‘grab and go’ bar.”Which brings up the inevitable question: Will the multinational fast food company really offer healthy options to customers, or will they just sell more processed foods with a “healthy” label on them? Discuss.
