Kate Middleton Writes Personal Letter To Boy With Leukemia
It’s nice to see that the Duchess is in the press for more than her wardrobe choices. Kate Middleton recently penned a personal letter to nine-year-old Fabian Bate, diagnosed with leukemia. Kate first met the child about month ago when she and husband Prince William attended the opening of a new children’s wing in Royal Marsden hospital.
The Duchess wrote to the boy after learning that his two older sisters proved to be donor matches for Fabian. Kate’s typed response on St. James letterhead reads:Daily Mail reports that following Kate’s initial visit, she had promised to post some thoughts on Fabian’s personal blog which the family uses to update one another on his progress. But Fabian’s family was reportedly “flabbergasted” to receive a letter from the Duchess sent to their home address.“Despite the enormously demanding course of treatment you are undergoing, I was so touched by your strength of character and delighted to hear the news that one of your big sisters will be able to donate bone marrow to you later this year,” she wrote. “I will keep my fingers crossed that your health goes from strength to strength over the months ahead.”
The Duchess of Cambridge may be appearing on thinspiration websites, but her regard for the well-being of children suggests her intentions to be elsewhere.
